Julia Holter is coming with her enchanting music on Sunday 20 November 2016 at Colston Hall in Bristol.
Julia Shammas Holter, she is a singer, producer, composer and songwriter from LA, firstly came into news in 2011 by launching her debut album ‘Tragedy’. The album took inspiration from a Greek play Hippolytus, and the album came on one of NPR’s “Best Outer Sound Albums of 2011”. Her second album, Ekstasis came in 2012 which gained more critical acclaim and was compared by artists such as Julianna Barwick, Joanna Newsom, Stereolab, Laurie Anderson, Kate Bush, and Grouper.
She released her third album Loud City Song in 2013 with Domino Records, after working with California based music name Nite Jewel (Ramona Gonzalez). The earlier two albums were made in her room only but with third one she recorded it in proper studio and received appraisal from the industry and audience.
