A Rising Force in Modern Punk
Grade 2 are a three-piece punk band from the Isle of Wight who have been steadily building a reputation across the global punk scene. Formed in 2013 while still teenagers, the band originally played covers of classic British acts before quickly developing their own distinctive sound.
Since those early days, the trio have grown into one of the most energetic modern street-punk bands in the UK. Their music blends classic punk aggression with melodic hooks and lyrics rooted in everyday life, frustration and youthful defiance.
Years of touring have helped them build a loyal following both in Britain and internationally. Playing small venues, clubs and major punk festivals alike, the band have earned a reputation for delivering loud, passionate and high-energy live performances.
A Perfect Venue for Punk
The upcoming show will take place at Exchange in Bristol’s Old Market district, an independent venue known for its intimate setting and strong connection to the city’s music community. With a relatively small capacity, the venue offers the kind of close-quarters environment where the crowd is never far from the stage.
That closeness between band and audience is exactly what punk thrives on. In a venue like Exchange, every drumbeat hits harder, every guitar riff feels louder and every lyric shouted from the stage is echoed straight back by the crowd.
What Fans Can Expect
Doors for the show are expected to open at 7:00 pm on 1 April 2026. When Grade 2 step on stage, fans can expect a set packed with driving guitar riffs, pounding drums and anthemic choruses built for crowd sing-alongs.
The band are likely to perform songs from across their catalogue, including tracks from earlier albums as well as newer material. Their performances are typically fast-paced and energetic, capturing the rebellious spirit that has always defined punk music.
A Night for Bristol’s Punk Community
Bristol has long been home to a vibrant alternative music scene, and gigs like this continue to keep that culture alive. For fans of loud guitars, sharp lyrics and the communal energy of live music, Grade 2’s upcoming show at Exchange promises to be one of the standout punk nights in the city this spring.
When the lights dim and the first chords ring out, the venue is likely to transform into what every great punk show should be: a wall of noise, movement and shared energy between band and crowd.
