Gary Numan at The Colston Hall in Bristol on Thursday 5 October 2017

Gary Numan will perform at The Colston Hall in Bristol on Thursday 5 October 2017.

Electronic and industrial music pioneer Gary Numan has announced a brand new tour this autumn, in support of the release of his highly anticipated new album ‘Savage’. Having influenced countless musicians across genres and continents, including Prince, Jack White, Beck and Lady Gaga, Gary Numan has never stopped innovating and the new material promises to be as forward-thinking as his first output almost forty years ago.

Gary Numan is an English singer, composer, and musician. Active since the 1970s, he is widely regarded as a pioneer of commercial electronic music. His signature sound of synthesiser hooks fed through guitar pedals is the cornerstone of a distinctive songwriting style that has influenced numerous artists over the last few decades,

His chart-topping hit ‘Cars’ remains one of the most popular and recognisable songs to come out of the late 70s, and Numan has maintained a loyal cult following since then, touring intermittently during the 80s and 90s, and more frequently since 2006. He continues to produce new material, releasing it on his own label Mortal Records, and has composed music for several films. In 2016, he was named the recipient of the Moog Innovation award by Moog Music.

This show is part-standing in the stalls. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult.
