Chasing Light headline Crofters Rights in anticipation of their upcoming debut single 'Madness' with support from the energetic Rickettes!
Chasing Light are an alternative pop/rock band formed originally by Ben Paynter in Essex in 2021. After moving to Bristol in September 2022 Ben started writing and jamming with housemates Ellie Benson and Oliver Simmons and then recruited the driving force of the band Mr William Davies on Drums, and Ben's idea turned to a reality. Longtime friend of Ben's Zachary Blyth then joined the band as the lead guitarist and current producer of the bands early music. The band lines up as Ellie Benson (Vocals, Keys), Ben Paynter (Guitar, Vocals), Oliver Simmons (Bass, Vocals), William Davies (Drums, Percussion) and Zachary Blyth (Lead Guitars, Producer).
As Chasing Light establish their early sound and identity they focus on energetic and punchy riffs with hearty and powerful catchy melodies taking influence from some of their favourite bands such as Paramore, Oasis, Coldplay, the Amazons and Foo Fighters to name a select few!
Chasing Light are buzzing to play their first headline show! Following on from their well received first full shows in Bristol; supporting Danny Mellin at the exchange back in April and the Diabolical Bombshells in July, they took a short break over the summer but now Chasing Light are back and raring to go with exciting new content and material around the corner, Including their unannounced debut single which is coming before the end of the year! Chasing Light make their comeback to gigging on the 26th of November supporting Myopia at the exchange.
