Valentine's present from The Red Dragons maybe?

Bristol City versus Wrexham at Ashton Gate Stadium on Saturday 13th February 2026 with a kick off at 3pm.

Bristol City and Wrexham have faced each other only a handful of times in official competition, making this a relatively rare fixture compared with many of City’s other rivals. In the four recorded matches between the two clubs, Bristol City have won three, while Wrexham have won once, and there have been no draws in that set of results.

Historically, many of their meetings came back in the early 2000s and mid-2000s when both clubs were in the lower leagues, with City securing several victories including 3–1 and 1–0 wins on Wrexham’s ground and at Ashton Gate. In the 2025/26 Championship season, Wrexham recorded a 2–0 home win over Bristol City in November 2025, marking their first triumph over City in recent times and giving them a positive moment in the head-to-head ledger.

History of Bristol City:

Established in 1894, Bristol City FC have a storied history in English football. The club, based in South Bristol, achieved prominence in the early 20th century, earning promotion to the top flight in 1906 and reaching the FA Cup final in 1909. In the 1980s, Bristol City faced financial challenges but rebounded, and are now a well-established second division side.

A defining moment in the club’s modern history came in 2017 when the team, then competing in the EFL Championship, secured a historic 2-1 victory over Manchester United in the EFL Cup quarterfinals. This win at Ashton Gate Stadium marked a standout achievement for the club.

Seen by many as England’s largest club to have never achieved top flight football, Bristol City's home matches are played at Ashton Gate. Currently plying their trade in the EFL Championship, The Robins are managed by Gerhard Struber.
