This match between The Robins and Coventry City will be the first opportunity for the Ashton Gate faithful to watch their side in the upcoming season. With a smattering of new faces and head coach Liam Manning's first pre-season with the team now complete, City will be hoping to improve on yet another mid-table finish this time round - and maybe even another cup run to boot.
Under the stewardship of long-time manager Mark Robins, Coventry have been in and around the playoffs for the past few seasons, something that The Robins have failed to do. However, after a frustrating ninth-place finish last season, The Sky Blues have bolstered their ranks with some high pedigree players and will be looking to go one better.
