Birmingham Royal Ballet's Coppelia at The Bristol Hippodrome
You have the chance to witness Birmingham Royal Ballet's Coppelia perform live at The Bristol Hippodrome from 28 June to 1 July 2017.
An unconventional toymaker Dr Coppelius’ creates a doll Coppelia and leaves it in his workshop, thereafter what happens is that it causes a stir in the whole village. Things are much more complicated they look to Franz and Swanilda, who are lovers. An enthralling blend of magic and comic commotion as Dr. Coppelius attempts to infuse life into Coppelia and on the other hand Swanilda attempts to prevent him from doing so.
You can enjoy the ideal experience of romantic music with this classic which belongs to the golden age of classical ballet and can no doubt be compared to The Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake, thereby being considered as one of the best works of 19th century.

This pre-performance talk will give details on the thoughts, ideas and hard work which has been put into making Birmingham Royal Ballet’s production such an exciting and exhilarating event.
