BIRDFEEDER are heavy psych/noise boys on an upward trajectory!
BIRDFEEDER are a five-piece dark psych band that take cues from bands like The Wytches and Black Sabbath, infusing their sound with elements of post-punk and noise, with influences ranging from DITZ to Siouxsie and the Banshees. Intent on delivering an unsettling yet exciting sound.
BIRDFEEDER convey themselves with conviction and intent with dark, doomy riffs (delivered by Guitarist Tom Holman) and unusual noise techniques (Noiseman Jack Wojtowycz) paired with a powerful rhythm section featuring bassist (Ed Thompson) and drummer (Max Dunstone) along with the screeching growl of their vocalist (Lucas Richards).
Since forming in November 2021, BIRDFEEDER have honed their craft and meticulously developed a unique and recognisable sound by playing many shows and slowly becoming more familiar and well known within the local scene, sharing the stage with the likes of KNIVES, CUFFS, Electric Cowboy Club and many other excellent acts. Since releasing their first single “Dishevelled” in March 2023, they have supported Codex Serafini in The Crofters Rights room one following an invitation from Gravy Train and BLG Promotions, and played at Cicada Fest to an outstanding reception.
