Be Bop A Lula at The Redgrave Theatre in Bristol on 7th October 2016
Be Bop a Lula is paying a tribute to the icons of rock and roll on Friday 7 October 2016 at The Redgrave Theatre in Bristol.
They were touring in the UK, Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent as they were returning from their night’s performance at Bristol Hippondrome, got into an accident just outside the Chippenham. Eddie who was only 21 lost his life and Gene was badly injured. After 55 years from that day, on 1st April Be Bop A Lula is celebrates the music of these rock and roll tycoons at Ambassadors Theatre London and on 11th April at the Theatre Royal Bury St. Edmunds. By joining the tributes to both the stars the music & songs of Billy Fury and Roy Orbison is trying to bring the past to the present and that into future.
One year before the incident, in 1959 another young singer/songwriter lost his life and so the special guest on 1st April in London will by Buddy Holly, a.k.a. Mr. Spencer Jordan, along with Lars Young and Gavin Stanley who will be supported by the extraordinary band The Wild Caps, and the marvelous DJ Spencer Evoy as MC, Be Bop A Lula is paying tribute to those icons of Rock and Roll half a century on…..
