Tickets running out to catch The Lemon Twigs’ Bristol show this Sunday

Indie favourites The Lemon Twigs will be in Bristol this Sunday, performing songs from their celebrated back catalogue as well as their most recent album, Everything Harmony.

With tickets quickly running out, Bristol music fans would be foolish to miss out on this opportunity to catch the 70s inspired baroque rock gods that are the D’Addario brothers, better known as The Lemon Twigs.

Sons of the well-known power pop singer-songwriter Ronnie D’Addario, Long Island pair Brian and Michael formed The Lemon Twigs back in 2015, blending the iconic 70s sound of their father’s music as well as their love of over-the-top, theatrical performance.

 

Adept at playing multiple instruments as well as songwriting, The Lemon Twigs quickly attracted significant buzz, signing to indie heavyweights 4AD and gaining support slots with the likes of Carseat Headrest.

 

In 2016, the brothers released their debut album, Do Hollywood, while still in their teens. The record received significant attention and critical acclaim, leading to an extensive run of shows and a string of television appearances. Their sophomore LP, Go to School, was a more eccentric, conceptual Broadway-inspired piece about a chimpanzee raised by humans.

 

Earlier this year, The Lemon Twigs released their fourth studio album, Everything Harmony, a record that builds on the brothers’ love of glam and power pop, adding a folkier element that evokes artists such as Simon & Garfunkel and James Taylor as well as 60s mainstays including The Beach Boys and Byrds.

 

In addition to Bristol’s SWX, The Lemon Twigs will play Chalk in Brighton, SWG3 TV Studio in Glasgow, New Century Hall in Manchester and Electric Ballroom in London on the final leg of their UK tour.
