Gloucester Road’s best beer shop-venue to open exciting new event space

Beercosm, one of Bristol’s best craft beer and bottle shops, is opening a new space – and they have massive plans for it.

Beercosm is a craft beer and bottle shop near the bottom of Gloucester Road; also home to Brewer’s Droop, a brewing supplies shop, Beercosm boasts the largest stock of beers, both craft and traditional, on Gloucester Road.

However, Beercosm is also a sit-in venue, with four keg craft beer taps (and two cask pumps) on rotation – handselected by the experts on Beercosm’s staff, including a BCJP-certified Beer Judge with experience in judging nation-wide homebrew competitions.

With the sun out in full force, and the height of summer on its way, patrons may also wish to make use of their secret beer garden – a picturesque suntrap behind the venue that provides a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of Gloucester Road; the perfect space to enjoy Beercosm’s summer offerings of cider and sour beer slushies.

Not content, however, with providing the best craft beer, and indoor and outdoor spaces, Beercosm are expanding upstairs to provide a brand new space for relaxing and events. The cosy upstairs space is set to feature a homely collection of soft furnishings – as well as a selection of retro game consoles, including N64, NES & Gamecube.

Beercosm have promised a dizzying array of events to come in tandem with the new space as well, including a popup kitchen providing delicious food from across the world, music nights with DJs from neighbours Prime Cuts, beer tasting sessions, and a series of ‘Meet the Brewer’ events – with sour beer kings Yonder, and award-winning enviromentally-conscious brewers Wye Valley already confirmed for visits.

With a great mixture of exciting craft beers, and traditional real ales, Beercosm seems set to be a space for every kind of drinker. Those who might be intimidated by such a wide variety of beers need not be – owner Lee Aperia and his staff are always excited to chat beer, and more than happy to help out customers and patrons with finding the perfect drink for them.

So, if you’re looking to expand your horizons, find your new favourite local – or just get in on Bristol’s next big summer hotspot before it takes the city by storm – head down to Beercosm to check it out.
