Posted on: 22 Dec 2022

Still riding high off the back of their EURO 2022 success in the summer, the Sports Personality Team of the Year will be heading to Bristol early next year to face Belgium in the Arnold Clark Cup.

England will take on Belgium at Ashton Gate on Wednesday 22 February.

Having not played in BS3 since 2015, Sarina Wiegman (who herself won Sports Personality Coach of the Year last night) and her squad will be back at the home of Bristol City and Bears as part of a final matchday doubleheader that will also see the Republic of Korea versus Italy.

Tickets start at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions, grab your HERE

The Arnold Clark Cup is an invitational women's association four-team football tournament hosted by The Football Association. The competition began this year and was won by England who defeated Spain in the final – it is broadcast live on ITV.

The Lioness’ upcoming campaign will be the final international tournament before the 2023 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand with England taking on Belgium, Italy and the Republic of Korea in an attempt to retain the trophy.

Also on 22 February, Milena Bertolini’s Italy will face Colin Bell’s Korea Republic at Ashton Gate with Stadium MK in Milton Keynes the other named tournament venue. One location is yet to be confirmed.

England wrote their name in the history books this year when they lifted the EURO trophy after beating Germany 2-1. The Lionesses impressed throughout the tournament with the likes of Lucy Bronze, Keira Walsh, Chloe Kelly and Beth Mead winning the hearts of the nation.

The team were honoured at last night’s BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award 2022 with the whole squad winning Team of the Year, Sarina Wiegman winning Coach of the Year and Arsenal star Beth Mead winning the ultimate prize – Personality of the Year.

Now, Bristolians will have the chance to see their heroes in action when Sarina Wiegman’s side rolls into BS3 in February for The Arnold Clark Cup 2023 which will place at Bristol’s Ashton Gate on Wednesday 22 February with England versus Belgium and the Republic of Korea versus Italy both scheduled.

Tickets start at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions with hospitality packages also available. Purchase yours HERE.
