The Fleece’s regular live music event Scouting Sessions is back in October

Posted on: 19 Sep 2022

Each month, The Fleece presents a whole day and night of brand new music acts from in and around the Bristol area.

The next Scouting Session event takes place on Sunday 2 October between 14:00 and 22:15.

Those attending can expect a packed day of diverse and exciting local music with as many as ten acts scheduled to play throughout the day.

Tickets for the October Scouting Session are £8 in advance and can be found here.

Next month, The Fleece presents ten artists from around the South West performing at the venue for the first time. The mini-festival will kick off with indie group Honeybuzz at 14:15.

Next up will be Wiltshire-based five-piece Here Come The Crows at 15:05, followed by a blues-jazz set from Two Floors Up at 15:55. South Wales indie-rock four-piece The Stray Pursuit follow at 16:45.

Indie pop newcomers Tawny Falls play at 17:35 with Bath-based four-piece Paperboy performing at 18:25. Then, as proceedings move into the evening, gloomy psych-rock band Holy Reptile (pictured below) playing at 19:15.

Moving onto the final three groups; Bristol punk band Underbliss play at 20:05 and skate punk group Brislingtonez take to the stage at 20:55 before grunge-metal trio Incursion round off this epic night of music at 21:45.

Each of these bands has a unique code that attendees can enter at the checkout – visit their respective social media pages to find out more.

These ten exciting acts will have the chance to play at one of Bristol’s longest-running music venues. The former Victorian wool hall has seen some of the world’s most prominent artists take to the stage: from Radiohead to Oasis, Amy Winehouse to Queens of The Stone Age (see video below), Ed Sheeran to Coldplay.

The October Scouting Session takes throughout the day on Sunday 2 October, with tickets available now for £8 – entry at the door will be £10.
