The renowned Stokes Croft burger spot is now available for home delivery or collection.

Om Burger has become the latest in a long line of popular independent restaurants added to the BARBI App, a delivery platform developed by Bristol, for Bristol.

Opened in late 2020 by the team behind Burger Theory, Om Burger was established to push the boundaries of vegetarian and vegan cuisine, offering up a selection of burgers and sides using only plant-based ingredients.

Whether you're a veggie, hardcore vegan or you're curious about meat-free options, Om Burger's extensive menu is available to browse on the BARBI App - find out more and download the app for iPhone and Android here.

Om Burger is the second Bristol restaurant opened by chefs Nick Mackin and Rory Perriment. Having spent years experimenting with veggie and vegan creations at Burger Theory, the pair decided to develop an entirely meat-free menu and set up shop in Stokes Croft.

Speaking on the opening of their new space in 2020, Mackin said: "The challenge of creating flavour, taste and texture with only vegetables is lots of fun! In an ever-changing world, it has become more and more important for us to do our bit.

"We wanted to progress the business in a more ethical direction and felt that our vegetarian cuisine deserved its own home!"

Om Burger's vibrant menu features a diverse selection of burgers, from the conventional (think veggie and vegan beef and chicken burgers) to the not-so-conventional KFM (Korean Fried Portobello Mushroom) burger and Sam's Super Spicy Sausage.

The kitchen team also serve up an array of delicious sides and added extras, including loaded fries, cauliflower bites, mac & cheese and more. Head to the Om Burger website to browse their full menus.

Offering commission rates of just 15% per order - down from as much as 35% from leading delivery apps - BARBI are looking to safeguard the future of Bristol's hospitality industry with the BARBI App, ensuring independents keep a much larger share of their income.

The BARBI team hope that their new app will loosen the grip that major corporations like Uber and Deliveroo currently have on the industry, with a view to expand to table booking, event ticket sales, discounts and local news features in the future.

As well as reducing fees for businesses, the app is also offering improved wages and rates for delivery riders and drivers.

Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and in an industry made up of more than 30,000 people and over 1,800 establishments in Bristol alone, support for independent businesses and the local economy is more important than ever.
