Robins Talk sessions invite fans to get active and talk openly in a safe and supportive setting.

Bristol City Football Club have launched a series of mental wellbeing sessions to encourage locals to make small changes that can improve mental health.

Organised by the Bristol City Robins Foundation, Robins Talk sessions include an hour of football followed by an open discussion with fellow attendees and the hosts.

Sessions are free to attend, and take place every Wednesday from 16:30-18:30 at the Imperial Sports Ground in Brislington.

Find out more about Robins Talk sessions by getting in touch with the team on 07500803823 or via email.

According to the UK's Office of National Statistics, one in six adults nationwide have experienced a form of depression. It is understood that figures are sharply on the rise amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

As part of a wider programme of community outreach work, the Bristol City Robins Foundation are looking to tackle mental health issues in Bristol with the launch of their Robins Talk series.

The sessions are inclusive and social, open to any sex and/or gender, and attendees do not need to be receiving help or show a diagnosis to attend.

Exercise is known to boost your mood, self-esteem and confidence, and with adults generally becoming less active during the pandemic, the Robins Foundation are providing a timely opportunity for supporters to socialise.

Anyone struggling with mental health - or just having a hard time - is encouraged to get involved and join in. Head over to the Bristol City website to find all the details or get in touch with the organisers with any queries.
