The non-profit label, education and development organisation will host digital workshops for women, non-binary and trans people worldwide.

Bristol imprint Saffron’s annual Seven Days of Sound Festival returns this month, offering participants a weeklong programme of events aimed to connect them to a global community and to inspire.

The entire programme, running from Saturday 22 January to Friday 28 January, will take place on Zoom, catering to a variety of backgrounds, genres, and levels of experience.

Tickets can be purchased for individual events or the full week here. If you can’t make the event, you can purchase watch back tickets by following the same link.

Founded in Bristol, Saffron has been running music production, sound engineering and DJing education workshops alongside a record label and artist development programme since 2015.

Its primary aim is to advance gender representation in music tech by creating a safe space for women, non-binary people, and other minority genders to learn and develop.

Seven Days of Sound kicks off with sound artist and healing practitioner Lavender Suarez, whose session is designed to guide participants through demonstrations and discussions about sound’s power to move us.

Revered producer Jlin is set to lead a workshop exploring creative evolution and discovery in the quest to find your signature sound, while NTS Radio favourite Anu will be running a class designed to show participants how to blend their personalities into radio shows.

Engineer for BRIT Award-winning artists Tom Walker, Dua Lipa, and Stormzy, Isabel Gracefield, will deliver a mixing masterclass, taking participants through her approach step by step.

Other events include Composing Beyond Sound with Dr Hannah Catherine Jones, Sound Design with Rachel K Collier, and Track Revival with Pops Roberts.

Check Saffron’s website for full details about the event, and pick up your tickets here.
