Catch Grayson’s Art Club at the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery
Posted on: 22 Dec 2021If you’re looking for a brand-new art exhibition to visit over the Christmas period and beyond, Grayson’s Art Club at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery.
Running between 4 December 2021 and 4 September 2022, artwork handpicked by the artist Grayson Perry during his celebrated TV show, Grayson’s Art Club, will be displayed at the Bristol Museum as part of a brand-new exhibition.
Visiting slots must be booked in advance on the Bristol Museum website and it is ‘pay what you can’.

Channel 4 TV show Grayson’s Art Club became a smash hit during lockdown, providing viewers with solace through art. Each week, Grayson and his wife Philippa spoke virtually to various artists and creatives.
With a different theme every week, each guest would be asked how they were spending lockdown and asked to respond to the experience creatively. The public were also invited to send in art and over 17,000 were submitted.
A one-off episode aired on Channel 4 in early December to accompany the exhibition and can be found on the All 4 website.
The wide-ranging exhibition will be taking over the space with the artwork taking over three floors of the museum. The pieces – produced by the public, artists, and celebrities - act as a beautiful exploration and record of lockdown life.
As well as pieces by Grayson and Philippa, various artists and celebrities’ work, including that of Alex Horne, Boy George, David Bailey, Derren Brown, Holly Walsh, Johnny Vegas, Mawaan Rizwan, Russell Tovey and Sue Perkins.
Grayson’s Art Club exhibition is taking place between December 2021 and September 2022. It as a pay what you can event and organisers recommend that, due to the layout, visitors are recommended to pick up a map on arrival.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, face coverings are obligatory unless exempt.
