Buoyed by the success of their summer 2021 series, The National Lottery (TNL) and Music Venue Trust (MVT) have announced another run of gigs in aid of grassroots venues across the country.

Tickets for Revive Live 2022 are now on sale, with two Bristol venues hosting an exciting programme of music on Tuesday 11 January and Wednesday 12 January.

On Tuesday, BBC Radio's Abbie McCarthy brings her Good Karma Club to Exchange, followed on Wednesday by Strange Bones and Calva Louise. Also on Wednesday, James and the Cold Gun and Snake Eyes grace The Thunderbolt with their presence.

First launched last summer, Revive Live was designed to support venues as they transitioned out of 18 months of Covid-19 related restrictions. Following the success of the series, TNL and MVT have organised another round of gigs with the same aim.

With the event underwritten by TNL as part of their commitment to support grassroots venues, tickets are being offered on a buy one get one free basis, so do find a plus one and make the most of this deal.

Andrew Parsons, managing director of Ticketmaster, close affiliates of MVT, said in a statement: “Not only is this a tour with an impressive line-up, it’s a tour that will fill up these treasured Grassroots Venues that have sat empty for far too long.

"Now is the time for everyone to step up, and we’re happy to do our bit by donating even more from our booking fee directly back to these venues who need it the most.”

Dan Rumsey of The Wytches, who play in Bath, added in a separate statement: “We are really excited to be back out on the road with The National Lottery’s Revive Live Tour. It’s an amazing thing to be a part of because these small venues are very close to our hearts.

"They helped us become a band and find ourselves when we were first starting out. Without them there would be no bands. That’s why the campaign is so important, it allows musicians to go out and do what they love, and in turn keeps the grassroots venues open and running as they should be!”

There are plenty of gigs nationwide to choose from, so if mobility isn't an issue for you, be sure to check out the full list of booked acts here. Tickets are available via the same link. For Bristol tickets, click here.
