What’s On: Halloween events for all the family in Bristol 2021

Halloween isn’t just for the kids, but Bristol has got an array of exciting events going on over the half-term to get them into a spooky mood.

 

From pumpkin patches grown with elephant poo to creepy children’s plays, there’s plenty of fun to be had for all the family and we’ve put together a list of six of the best...

 

 

 

Children’s Halloween Trail @ Clifton Observatory | Sunday 24 October - Monday 1 November

 

First on our list is Clifton Observatory’s Halloween Trail, offering a spooky exploration of the ‘Giant's Cave’. During October half term, children aged between 4-14 (accompanied by an adult) are invited to explore the spookily decorated Clifton Observatory. Kids can climb to the top of the tower before heading into the cave below, collecting clues as they go. Tickets are only £2.50!

 

 

Pumpkin patch @ Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park | Saturday 2 October - Sunday 31 October

 

What better way to ensure that you have got the best pumpkin around than to pick it yourself. After the popularity of last year's sell out event, Avon Valley is back with even more seasonal fun for all ages to enjoy. With a massive pumpkin patch, planned events and loads of spooky entertainment, this looks like a great family day out! Wrap up warm, tickets are £4.

 

 

Skeloween @ Bristol Zoo Gardens | Saturday 23 - Sunday 31 October

 

Every year Bristol Zoo provides visitors with bags of fun for all the family and this year is no different. The Zoo is providing Halloween entertainment alongside education as they offer the chance to learn all about the clever bones inside your favourite vertebrates along with the usual sights. Tickets are available on Bristol Zoo’s website.

 

 

Crafty’s Creepy Castle @ The Redgrave Theatre | Monday 25 October

 

If you’re looking for a festive show suitable for children aged between 2 and 7 then look no further than The Redgrave Theatre’s Crafty’s Creepy Castle. Children will be able to find out why Crafty the Crow has gone to live in a haunted castle before being able to meet Crafty in the flesh. Kids are encouraged to dress up for this one with family tickets (2 adults, 2 children) available at £44. 

 

 

Pumpkin Fest @ Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm | Saturday 9 - Sunday 31 October

 

Throughout October, the annual Pumpkin Fest has taken over Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm in Clevedon and will continue up until Halloween. Alongside the traditional pumpkin patch (which is grown on site using elephant poo!), there will also be special Bug Talks over the half term period as well as the Noah’s Ark Top Trumps trail. Tickets are £15 for adults and £10.50 for children.

 

 

Spooky trip @ SS Great Britain | Throughout October

 

To round off 365Bristol’s list of things to do in Bristol this Halloween period, we’re picking one of Bristol’s mainstay attractions. The famous boat is the city’s top attraction and with spooky stories of past passengers and creepy mannequins plus some extra surprises, it is a great spot for a October half term family visit. Tickets are £18 for adults, £10 for children (5-16) and free for kids under 5-years-old.
