Catch a stellar lineup across three celebrated Bristol arts venues.

Bristol-based DJ, producer and label boss Batu is hosting the first edition of his festival, En Masse, this weekend, taking over Strange Brew, The Cube and Trinity Centre for three days of forward-thinking music and art.

Originally unveiled in late 2019 as a two-day event to take place in Wales last summer, the festival's debut was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Announcing the new-look festival online earlier this year, Timedance founder Batu confirmed its debut would be taking over "three of Bristol's most exciting venues" in September.

The programme will include multi-media installations, DJ sets and innovative live performances, bringing together curious and like-minded people and collectives across Bristol's arts, music and nightlife communities.

Kicking off at Strange Brew on Thursday night, En Masse will be hosting sets from experimental record manufacturers Copper Sound, improv duo EP/64 alongside Ossia, multidisciplinary artist Birthmark and Idle Hands boss Chris Farrell.

The following night, the festival moves over to Stokes Croft for a night of immersive audiovisual art at The Cube, courtesy of Bristol-based musician and filmmaker J. Martin and analogue composer Surgeon's Girl.

En Masse 2021 will close with a huge party at the Trinity Centre on Saturday 18th, as sets from Alya L, Kahn & Neek, the Booty Bass collective and Batu himself put the venue's renowned Sinai Soundsystem through its paces.

Tickets for the festival are still available in limited numbers ahead of tomorrow's opener. To get yours, to find out more or to follow news and updates, head to the En Masse website or find the team on Instagram.
