Catch IDLES alongside an array of celebrated Bristol-based acts in BS8 this weekend.

The Bristol natives are breaking out of the live music void created by Covid-19, heading an exciting bill of local DJs, bands and artists, in what is one of their first gigs since the pandemic began.

The event, organised by celebrated promoters Team Love and Simple Things, also features Heavy Lungs, Grandmas House, Anna Meredith, Nuha Ruby Ra, Giant Swan and TV Priest, among others.

With a stellar line-up and a capacity of 10,000, fans attending this festival-style event can expect a host of unmissable performances on The Downs on Friday 3 September.

Perhaps one of Bristol's biggest, and most surprising, exports of the 2010s, IDLES have fast been on the rise since the release of their debut LP Brutalism in 2017.

In 2018, the band released their second studio album Joy as an Act of Resistance to acclaim, gaining a Mercury Prize nomination. Their latest effort, Ultra Mono, reached number one in the UK Albums Chart.

Despite the success of their third album, the band has so far been unable to play it live due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Alas, as restrictions ease, IDLES' rescheduled tour is primed to go ahead.

To be among the first to hear Ultra Mono live as part this raucous homecoming, get your tickets here.
