Bristol rock duo Little Thief release new single

Posted on: 18 Aug 2021

The Bristol-based rock outfit's new single, 'Freak', is the lead track off their upcoming studio album Under The Patio, scheduled for release in September.

Since forming in 2015, Little Thief, comprised of long-time collaborators Charlie Fitzgerald and Rhii Williams, has attracted the interest of an ever-growing fan base and critics alike with their brand of pulsating and soulful alternative rock.

The duo's recent run of singles has seen them perform at Glastonbury and Liverpool Sound City Festival and get airtime with none other than Steve Lamacq on BBC 6Music.

'Freak' and Under The Patio are the product of a crowdfunding mission, both being released independently after the pair's label, Funnel Records, became a casualty of Covid-19.

Recorded with Steve Jackson (Massive Attack) at Rockfield and Invada Studios, 'Freak' aims to encapsulate 'wild cards'.

In a statement, Charlie Fitzgerald said: "we wanted to capture the feeling of excitement and fear that comes with those explosively beautiful people. We all know that person or group of people that have the ability to bring out our fuck it side.

"I’ve had a load of people like this in my life, Rhii being one of them. They are magnanimous and that knock on the door on a Friday night always feels like the beginning of a superhero film."

Fans of The Black Keys, Royal Blood and The Kills, this one might be for you. Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.
