Posted on: 17 Aug 2021

The renowned cider specialists are set to become the latest new addition to the CARGO2 complex.

The Cider Box are just days away from the grand opening of a brand-new permanent Bristol location, ready to welcome their first customers on Wapping Wharf from Thursday 26 August.

Joining a growing number of renowned independent businesses on the Harbourside hospitality quarter, the team will be offering up a wide range of locally- and internationally-produced craft cider to take away.

The new store becomes their second alongside their popular taproom in St Philip's, and will operate from 12:00-19:00 every Wednesday to Sunday.

Having been set up by owner Dan Heath as a bespoke events company, The Cider Box has developed over the years into a household name among craft cider fans across Bristol and beyond.

Celebrating everything from traditional fermented juices to contemporary cans and bottles, the team aim to shine a light on the world's very best cidermakers and fight an ongoing crusade against industrially produced drinks.

The Cider Box will be serving up a range of seasonal specialities on the Harbourside over the coming months, including refreshing cider slushies in the sunshine and hot spiced cider during the winter.

Speaking ahead of next week's opening, Heath said:

"We're tremendously excited to open up in Wapping Wharf; our second site in Bristol alongside our St Philip's Tap Room, working with brilliant producers of the finest cider we can lay our hands on, and sharing our findings with our wonderful customers.

"We have ciders from upstate New York, Malmo [Sweden] and the finest Normandy juices alongside regional favourites from Herefordshire and Somerset, and we cannot wait to pop open a bottle or two."
