Craft your very own Gromit under the guidance of Aardman's expert model makers.

World-renowned, Bristol-based animators Aardman have announced dates and a venue for their latest model-making classes, inviting people of all ages to have a go at crafting one of their most iconic characters.

Led by skilled members of the Aardman team, participants will be given the chance to find out exactly how to craft the perfect Gromit model, ask any burning questions and even learn an Aardman insider tip or two.

Taking place at Bristol Cathedral on Thursday 12, Thursday 19 and Thursday 26 August, sessions will be followed by an exclusive screening of one of the studio's best-loved releases, A Grand Day Out.

Gromit model-making sessions.

Founded in the early 1970s, Aardman Animations have produced an array of beloved stop-motion characters over the years, from Wallace and Gromit to Shaun the Sheep, Feathers McGraw and Morph.

1989 saw the release of Wallace and Gromit's big-screen debut, A Grand Day Out, and the pair have starred in five full-length productions to date, most recently The Curse of the Were-Rabbit in 2005.

The perfect indoor activity for all the family, Aardman's Gromit model-making sessions are a great chance to unlock your creativity and learn from an in-house artist from one of the world's leading animators.

Materials will be provided, and tickets are available for £10 per person. Sessions last around an hour and a half including the film screening, with morning and afternoon sessions running across three dates.

For more information, or to book your place at one of six model-making sessions taking place in August, head to the Bristol Cathedral website.
