Sophie Ellis-Bextor's Kitchen Disco tour has been rescheduled to 2022

The iconic singer-songwriter was due to perform live at The Bath Forum in May.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor's eagerly-anticipated Kitchen Disco live tour has been rescheduled, now set to take her to stages across the UK in March 2022.

Initially due to go on the road in May 2021, the renowned vocalist and lockdown internet sensation has been forced to rearrange due to ongoing safety concerns and venue closures related to the coronavirus pandemic.

As part of the extensive 17-date run, Ellis-Bextor will be performing live at The Bath Forum on Wednesday 9 March 2022. Tickets purchased for the original dates remain valid, with remaining tickets on sale now and available here.

While Sophie Ellis Bextor's tour has sadly been put on hold due to the ongoing pandemic, fans can still enjoy new(ish) music in the form of her latest album, Songs from the Kitchen Disco, which got its worldwide release last October.

Throughout the coronavirus lockdown, Ellis-Bextor's Instagram Live videos have been a welcome means of escapism for many, as she covered an array of classics and a selection of her own tracks live from her impromptu kitchen studio.

The weekly live streams brought together her two main roles as a performer and a mother, capturing her performances alongside husband Richard Jones (who also plays bass in her live band) and her children, with thousands watching on from home.

The album, as well as next year's tour, is the culmination of a heartwarming DIY musical project that put smiles on faces up and down the country this year.

Now, looking ahead to next year, the Kitchen Disco live tour will bring those virtual sessions to life, featuring a heady combination of her own hit tracks and a selection of well-known classics.

Expect a full set of certified crowd-pleasers when Sophie Ellis-Bextor arrives in Bath on Wednesday 9 March 2022, including 'Murder on the Dancefloor', 'Heartbreak', and one or two of her own personal favourites.

Organisers have confirmed that all tickets purchased for Ellis Bextor's original shows will be valid for the rescheduled dates, with a limited number going back on sale. Find out more and get yours here.
