Westonbirt Arboretum's Forest Live concert series postponed to 2022

Four huge acts were lined up to play intimate open-air gigs in June.

The Forest Live 2021 series, due to take place from 10-13 June, has been postponed to 2022 due to ongoing uncertainty regarding crowd safety and the coronavirus pandemic.

Confirming the news this morning, organisers said they were "extremely disappointed" at having to postpone the series, but admitted that their situation had been made clear upon the government's recent announcement of their 'roadmap' out of lockdown.

All tickets purchased for Forest Live 2021 remain valid for the rescheduled 2022 dates, with full refunds also available upon request.

Westonbirt Arboretum - one of four Forestry England sites selected to host the Forest Live series - were set to welcome one of their biggest-ever musical lineups this summer, featuring headliners Jess Glynne, Rag'n'Bone Man, Madness and Keane.

Almost 2 million people have attended Forest Live gigs since their launch in 2000, with ticket costs going towards vital conservation and environmental work.

To date, the concert series has enabled Forestry England to continue supporting the nation's 1500 woodland and forest areas, and maintain natural spaces to welcome millions of visitors every year.

As part of their statement announcing the postponement of Forest Live 2021, the team said: “The Government’s roadmap out of lockdown has made it clear that we cannot hold our Forest Live concerts this summer.

“We are extremely disappointed, but this is the best way to keep our valued customers safe, as well as the staff, volunteers, contractors and artists that make Forest Live possible.

“We would like to send our deepest apologies to everyone who was hoping to come to a Forest Live gig this summer. We can’t wait to experience the best live music in our beautiful forests with you next year and thank you very much for your continued support.”

Forestry England went on to confirm that all Forest Live 2021 performances had been successfully rescheduled to June 2022, with all bookings valid for the new dates. Customers will be contacted in the coming dates regarding refund options.
