Seasick Steve to play intimate live show at the Bristol Hippodrome in November

Posted on: 10 Mar 2021

The unlikely blues icon will be arriving in Bristol later this year as part of an extensive UK tour.

Renowned American blues artist Seasick Steve will be performing live at the Bristol Hippodrome this year, set to take the stage on Wednesday 17 November as he tours the UK in support of his latest album, Blues in Mono.

The stripped-back one-man-show features nothing more than Steve, his guitar and his impressive back catalogue, written and recorded largely using his array of one-of-a-kind homemade instruments.

Tickets for Seasick Steve live at the Bristol Hippodrome are on sale now and can be found here.

Born in the early 1950s in Oakland, California, Seasick Steve spent the best part of half a century honing his craft before finding commercial success worldwide.

Playing mostly personalised guitars, some built by hand using pieces of scrap metal and other discarded materials, Steve spans blues, country rock n roll and more as part of his authentic, emotive brand of Americana.

Having made his first UK TV appearance on Jools Holland's Hootenanny in 2006, Steve has gone on to win an array of awards and play on iconic stages and at major festivals around the world.

The latest of his eleven studio albums, Blues in Mono, landed in November 2020, featuring a collection of original tracks and classic covers.

With venues and events set to reopen across the UK later this year, Seasick Steve will be performing live in Bexhill, Nottingham, London, Birmingham, York, Edinburgh, Manchester and Newcastle before closing his tour at the Bristol Hippodrome.

Tickets for the Bristol performance - scheduled for Wednesday 17 November - are on sale now. Find out more and get yours here.
