Posted on: 26 Feb 2021

The renowned two-day event will be back at Eastville Park in September.

Organisers behind Tokyo World festival have confirmed they plan to return later this year, having been forced to postponed their 2020 event due to the coronavirus crisis.

Tokyo World 2021 is currently penned in for Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September, with tickets set to go on sale at 08:00 on Monday 8 March.

Tickets purchased for last year's postponed festival will be rolled over, as the Tokyo World team promise a "very special reunion" for fans upon their return to Eastville Park.

Following this week's government announcement regarding a proposed return to normality in 2021, festivals across the UK are emerging from a lengthy hiatus to confirm summer dates on the assumption that crowds will be allowed to gather later this year.

Major events like Reading & Leeds, Boomtown and Creamfields have already started to sell tickets to their 2021 editions, in the hope that the pandemic will have been brought under control by the time their respective weekenders roll around.

Announcing their return on Instagram on Wednesday after months of radio silence, Tokyo World revealed the dates for this year's festival, coinciding, as expected, with the arrival of thousands of new and returning students in September.

Popular among electronic music fans across Bristol and beyond, Tokyo World is an annual celebration of a wide range of genres, championing drum & bass, grime, garage and more.

The 20,000-capacity event has hosted an array of internationally-renowned artists over the years, including Action Bronson, Craig David, Faithless and many more.

Tickets for Tokyo World 2021 go on sale at 08:00 on Monday 8 March but will be in short supply - find out more and get yours here.
