Sleaford Mods confirm Bristol date as part of 2021 UK & Ireland tour

Posted on: 22 Jan 2021

Surely venues will be open by the time this one rolls around...

No-nonsense duo Sleaford Mods have announced plans for an extensive UK & Ireland tour for late 2021, taking them to an array of iconic stages alongside a selection of special guest support acts.

Assuming (see also: desperately hoping) some normality has been restored by then, they'll be performing live at Bristol's O2 Academy on Wednesday 1 December.

Tickets are on sale now but are expected to sell out well in advance - get yours here.

Formed in their hometown of Nottingham in 2007, Sleaford Mods' snarling takedowns of the British psyche have earned them a reputation over the years as one of the nation's most uncompromising musical acts.

Consisting of vocalist Jason Williamson and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Fearn, the duo have built a dedicated army of fans with a long line of well-received releases, from their self-titled debut to the UK Albums Chart Top Ten record, Eton Alive, which landed in 2019.

Their latest album, Spare Ribs, has already garnered rave reviews from across the music press, lauded by the likes of NME, Clash and The Times among others.

Like a long list of contemporaries Sleaford Mods have had tour plans scuppered by the pandemic, but provided venues are able to open by then - surely they will be - the duo will be back on the road in November and December.

As part of an extensive run of shows, Williamson and Fearn will be playing live in Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin, Newcastle, Liverpool, Oxford, Nottingham, Cardiff, London and Brighton as well as Bristol.

Tickets for the Bristol gig, at the O2 Academy on Wednesday 1 December, are on sale now and can be found here.
