2020/21 Festive Fixture Lists: Bristol Rovers

2020/21 Festive Fixture Lists: Bristol Rovers

Posted on: 15 Dec 2020

The Gas need to find some form to break into the top half of the League One table.

Bristol Rovers are approaching a tricky run of fixtures in their 2020/21 League One campaign, coming up against some of the top teams in the division during a busy festive period.

Having struggled to find any consistency so far this season, Rovers currently find themselves 15th in the table, ten points off the promotion places (correct as of Tuesday 15 December).

Having replaced former manager Ben Garner with Paul Tisdale in November, the club will be looking to put some results together and progress up the table in the new year.

Read on for a quick rundown of Rovers' season so far, and a guide to their upcoming fixtures in December and January.

After parting ways with Ben Garner just over a month ago with the club hovering above the League One relegation zone, former Exeter City and MK Dons manager Paul Tisdale has brought some stability to The Gas and overseen some impressive wins during his short tenure in charge.

Tisdale has only lost once since taking over - a disappointing home defeat to fellow bottom-half side Gillingham - but results elsewhere have injected some much-needed optimism into the club after a poor start to the 2020/21 campaign.

After a run of three successive wins in League One and the EFL Cup, Rovers are approaching a tough festive period that will see them come up against promotion-chasers Charlton and Portsmouth, as well as Oxford United, MK Dons and Blackpool.

Bristol Rovers' 2020/21 festive fixture list is as follows:

Charlton Atheltic (A) Tuesday 15 December

Oxford United (H) Saturday 19 December

MK Dons (A) Saturday 26 December

Portsmouth (H) Tuesday 29 December

Blackpool (H) Saturday 2 January

With fans still unable to attend matches as Bristol remains under Tier 3 coronavirus restrictions, all the action will be available live via Bristol Rovers' iFollow streaming service.
