2020/21 Festive Fixture Lists: Bristol City

2020/21 Festive Fixture Lists: Bristol City

Posted on: 14 Dec 2020

The Robins have a great chance to get stuck into the Championship title race this month.

Bristol City's festive run of fixtures is already underway, and with five Championship matches to play across a three-week period, Dean Holden will be looking to put a strong run of form together to keep pace towards the top of the league.

Having started brightly, winning their opening four league games, The Robins have struggled for form recently, failing to register back-to-back wins since early November.

Strong performances during December and January will ensure City keep the pace towards the top of the table, battling the likes of Watford, Swansea and Bournemouth in the race to secure promotion to the Premier League.

The club's encouraging start to this year's delayed EFL Championship season had some pundits tipping them as early candidates for automatic promotion, but the side haven't looked capable of maintaining a good run of form so far.

After a five-game winless streak in October City have picked things up slightly, registering important victories against Cardiff City and Blackburn Rovers in recent weeks.

The festive period is huge in football, however, and Dean Holden's side will be eager to pick up some points in some favourable fixtures against strugglers Wycombe, Millwall and Preston North End in December.

Currently seventh in the league (accurate as of Monday 14 December), a successful winter spell could push City up to the automatic playoff places, with second-placed Bournemouth just four points better off.

Bristol City's festive fixture list is as follows:

Millwall (H) Tuesday 15 December

Preston North End (A) Friday 18 December

Wycombe Wanderers (H) Saturday 26 December

Luton Town (A) Tuesday 29 December

Brentford (A) Saturday 2 January

With fans still unable to attend matches as Bristol remains under Tier 3 coronavirus restrictions, fans can catch all the action live via the RobinsTV streaming service.
