Skunk Anansie to return to Bristol in June 2021

The world-renowned four-piece will be performing at the O2 Academy as part of an extensive European tour.

 

Iconic British outfit Skunk Anansie will be making their welcome return to a Bristol stage next year, set to perform live at the O2 Academy on Saturday 26 June as part of a huge 2021 European tour.

 

Having celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2019 with the release of 25Live@25, the band are widely regarded as one of the greatest rock acts ever to have come out of the UK.

 

Originally due to go on the road in late 2020, the four-piece were forced to reschedule their tour due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Formed in the 1990s heyday of British alternative music, Skunk Anansie have released six critically-acclaimed studio albums and played huge shows around the world in a career spanning three decades.

 

The band split in 2001, but reformed in 2009, taking a 'Greatest Hits' tour across the UK and around the world,.

 

Now, lead singer Skin has become a timeless performer in her own right, regularly touring with the band as well as being an activist and trailblazer for women in the music industry, a model and a writer.

 

The Bristol leg of the band's 2021 will see them return to the O2 Academy stage, following their well-received performance at the venue in September 2019.
