Smoke & Mirrors launch new online magic classes for budding young performers

Posted on: 15 Oct 2020

Give your kids a gift they'll never forget this Autumn.

Popular magic and boutique theatre venue Smoke & Mirrors have officially launched Magic School, their new online classes dedicated to teaching young performers all the tricks of the trade.

A fantastic opportunity for kids to learn magic alongside family members in the comfort of their own homes, the new project allows students to build their confidence, learn a new talent and hone their social and motor skills under the guidance of a trained professional.

Running on Saturdays and Sundays during term time, or Monday to Thursday during the school holidays, Magic School sessions last one hour each, with all the relevant equipment sent direct to your door in advance.

Hosted by renowned magician and Smoke & Mirrors owner Mark Bennett, Magic School invites your child to learn every trick - from every angle thanks to a multi-camera setup - and develop a full understanding of how magic works.

The course is designed for children ages six and over with adult supervision, meaning parents, grandparents, siblings or friends can get in on the action and learn a few tricks of their own.

Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, lessons will be carried out virtually via Zoom, with a view to make the transition to in-person lessons once it's safe to do so.

Lessons are bookable either as individual sessions or in blocks of two or four, and cover everything from starter card tricks to coin magic, sponge ball magic and rope tricks!

After each session students will receive a video breaking down each trick and how to practice effectively, allowing your kids to keep on honing their skills as much as they like.
