What to expect at this weekend’s Bristol Craft Beer Festival

Bristol Craft Beer Festival is taking place this weekend, from Friday 11 September to Sunday 13 September.
It’s one of the city’s only festivals to go ahead in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19.
Held in the Lloyds Amphitheatre, the festival showcases breweries from across the globe, music and street food.
Here’s what you need to know ahead of this weekend.
Exhibitors: beer and bites
The 2020 edition of Bristol Craft Beer Festival is set to welcome a plethora of Bristol breweries, plus names from further afield.
Local breweries represented include Bristol Beer Factory, Wild Beer Co. and Good Chemistry.
Elsewhere, the festival will welcome Aussie brewery Stone and Wood, London’s Mikkeller Brewpub and Øl from Denmark.
Among the festival’s food traders are local cheese and beer shop Two Belly, burger aficionados Asado and Bristol grilled mac and cheese trader Alp Mac.
Safety measures
To keep staff and guests safe, the festival will operate with several safety measures and a 2-metre social distancing rule.
Staff, exhibitors and volunteers will have specific training in order to keep the environment safe and will be asked to make health declarations before entering the festival.
Ticket holders with any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been told to self-quarantine are asked by organisers to stay at home.
Under these circumstances, ticket holders may contact the festival to discuss their ticket options.
Visitors must take along a face mask, and there will be a one-way system around the site with appropriate signage.
The festival will accept no groups larger than six people, and it will operate with contactless payments only.
