Local coffee festival moves online for 2020

Posted on: 10 Jul 2020

The annual coffee festival has announced it'll go digital this year.

The 2020 edition of The Coffee House Project has been cancelled, organisers have confirmed.

Usually the two-day coffee festival celebrates local artisan roasters, independent food and drink retailers and home-grown baristas at The Passenger Shed.

But the 2020 edition of the festival, which was set to take place during the first weekend of September, has been cancelled due to "the current uncertain climate."

Despite this, the Project will not go unmarked in 2020. This year, CHP will instead deliver a digital event on the same weekend, between Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September.

The Coffee House Project team announced their plans on social media last week

"We are busy working on some awesome online workshops (plus amazing goodies too) for you to get involved with, where the BEST of the coffee industry will be on hand to give you some tips and tricks over the weekend."

The full schedule and tickets for the digital event will be released in August.

A weekend of talks, tasting and exhibitions, The Coffee House Project celebrates the best of home-grown talent. The event hosts workshops and talks from industry experts, alongside DJs and street food.
