The Redgrave Theatre extend closure until September

Posted on: 06 Jul 2020

The theatre team will be contacting ticket holders for 2020 shows in the coming days.

The Redgrave Theatre have confirmed that they will remain closed until Monday 28 September at the earliest, as the coronavirus crisis wears on and theatres and other arts spaces remain in the dark as to when it's safe to reopen.

The theatre suspended all of its upcoming shows and closed its doors with the introduction of the UK lockdown in late March, but they confirmed the extension of the closure today via Facebook.

With several high-profile shows unfortunately postponed, including live standup performances from renowned comedians Iain Stirling, Rachel Parris and Pete Firman, The Redgrave Theatre is in the process of rescheduling its full programme of events between now and the end of September.

In the update on Facebook, The Redgrave Theatre Manager, Sue Ellicott, explained that the team would be in touch with ticket holders as soon as possible with information regarding new dates and ticketing options.

"Thank you for your continued support of the Redgrave Theatre and we look forward to welcoming you again soon," she added.

Among the shows already rescheduled from summer 2020 are Sir Trevor McDonald's An Improbable Life (rescheduled to 18 April 2021), Dom Joly's Holiday Snaps (21 April 2021) and Beach Boyz live (10 July 2021).

Tickets are on sale now for the first shows set to take place once the theatre reopens, with revered mountaineer Doug Scott CBE the first to take the stage as part of his nationwide book tour on Monday 28 September.
