July Update: Follow new releases from Bristol artists with our dedicated Spotify playlist

Posted on: 06 Jul 2020

Discover new music from IDLES, Harvey Causon, Fenne Lily and more on Bristol Radio.

Despite lockdown rules easing, pubs reopening and a general consensus that things are pretty much back to normal sweeping the nation, it's going to be a while before music venues are able to open their doors again.

We're all missing our favourite venues, but thankfully, Bristol music hasn't come to a complete standstill. Some of the city's top bands and artists have been hard at work over the last few months, putting finishing touches on an array of stellar singles, EPs, albums and collaborative projects.

We've updated our dedicated Spotify playlist with new music from the likes of IDLES, Harvey Causon and Fenne Lily to combat those lockdown blues, adding ten new tracks in total.

As part of the July update, you'll also find new releases from all-female post-punk outfit Slagheap, genre-defying solo artist Lynks Afrikka and veteran producer Om Unit.

Elsewhere on Bristol Radio, expect infectious grooves from Elder Island, Cousin Kula and Farebrother, soulful acoustics courtesy of Maya Law, Robi Mitch and Katy J Pearson, and no-nonsense tracks from Heavy Lungs, Leeches and Football FC.

Electronic music fans can also find innovative underground sounds from Bristol's best-loved DJs and producers, including Shanti Celeste, Batu and Peverelist.

If you're on the hunt for some new music, tune in to Bristol Radio and get to know some of the Westcountry's most exciting contemporary artists.

Our Spotify playlist is updated monthly. If you or someone you know has got new music on the way, get in touch - we want to hear it!
