The Louisiana launches customisable sourdough pizzas for takeaway

Grab a pizza from one of Bristol's best live music venues and support 'em through coronavirus.

With live music off-limits for the forseeable future, venues across the city have had to find new ways to make ends meat.

One of these venues is the The Louisiana, which has just launched a new sourdough pizza takeaway and delivery service, complete with veggie and vegan options.

The new menu, which can be viewed here, boasts cheap, customisable sourdough pizza made with a 'secret family recipe' tomato sauce, along with some other Italian treats.

Alongside pizza, the menu includes House specials lasagne and arancini, alongside desserts and drinks.

Operating from Thursday to Sunday, 18:00 to 22:00, sourdough pizzas (plus the menu's other Italian treats) are available for collection or delivery.

Local delivery to Redcliffe, Bedminster and Southville is available until 21:00 from Thursday to Sunday, and costs £2.50.

It's also possible to pre-order your pizza with a time slot that suits you. Click here to visit the website and to place your order.

Founded in 1987, The Louisiana has become one of the city's leading live music venues, and with good reason.

A family-run, 140 capacity venue, The Louisiana is a hotspot for rising live acts; it relentlessly supports local talent, while drawing in sought-after musicians from further afield.

In years gone by, The Louisiana has seen the likes of Amy Winehouse, The Strokes and Dua Lipa perform in its cosy gig space.

Announcing the launch of their new pizza takeaway service on Facebook, the venue said:

"With the COVID-19 lockdown in place, it means we don't have any shows for the foreseeable future.

"This is one way we hope, that will keep The Louis going. The pizzas are amazing. The arancini is incredible."

The pizza is pretty cheap, too: at the moment, you can grab a vegan Margherita sourdough pizza for just six quid, and customise your own sourdough pizza (with up to four toppings) for £8.

The Louisiana also plans to continue selling pizza when it is safe to host gigs again.

The new pizza offering adds to The Louisiana's existing foodservice: takeaway Sunday Roasts.

The Louisiana's Sunday Roasts are available for collection every Sunday between 12:00 and 14:00.

To pre-order a Sunday Roast, give the team a call on 0117 9265978. We hear they're selling out almost every Sunday, so get in there quick.
