Robins fans can design their own personal cardboard cut-out 'Crowdie' for remaining home games.

Bristol City's final fixtures of the 2019/20 Championship season may be being played behind closed doors, but that doesn't mean fans will be totally removed from the action.

As City prepare for their first home match in more than three months, the club are offering dedicated fans the chance to design their very own personalised cardboard cut-out, to be displayed in the stands at Ashton Gate Stadium.

It might be a while yet before supporters are able to make it through the turnstiles at football stadiums around the country, so with the team preparing for the visit of Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday 28 June, City are asking fans to show their support through a brand-new initiative.

Photos must be submitted before 17:00 on Tuesday 23 June in order for their cut-out to be ready in time for Sunday's match, which will then remain in place for the final nine games of the season.

Personalised cut-outs measure 76cm x 46cm, and pictures can be uploaded via the Bristol City Crowdie website.

Fans will also receive a personalised e-certificate with the purchase of their own Crowdie, to keep at home as a memento.

Cut-outs cost £25, with £5 from every sale to be allocated to the Bristol Sport Emergency COVID-19 Relief Fund, supporting the delivery of meals and food parcels to people in need across the Bristol area during the coronavirus outbreak.

Speaking to the Bristol City website, Robins midfielder Korey Smith said:

"Our home support has been tremendous all season and we want that to continue for the final push of the campaign, just in a different form.

"The life-size cut-outs not only provide colour in Ashton Gate to get behind the team, they help to back important charitable causes in our city.”

Having suffered a disappointing 3-1 loss away to Blackburn in their first match since the restart of the Championship season, City need to get back on track if they're to be in with a chance of securing a play-off place.
