Local school creates uplifting vocal montage in lockdown

Posted on: 08 Jun 2020

Bristol Cathedral Primary School has been getting creative in lockdown.

The teachers of Bristol Cathedral Primary School have put together a montage music video to reflect life in lockdown.

They’ve come together (digitally) for a musical performance of Les Misérables ballad ‘One Day More’ – with a lyrical twist.

Instead of 'One Day More''s usual lyrics, staff have written their own to reflect the experiences of the school community in lockdown.

The vocal project has arrived complete with a video montage, featuring staff members performing the rewritten ballad in their own homes.

The video also features a message from the school’s Headteacher, Sara Yarnold, who thanks pupils for their hard work during the lockdown.

The video was organised, directed and edited by Miss Kelly, a Year 1 teacher at the school, who is also a member of Bristol amateur theatre company BLOC Productions.
