Bristol gospel choir Sønder go virtual with montage music videos

The choir’s latest music video aims to express unity.

 

Bristol-based vocal collective Sønder have just released a new music video – a remotely-recorded cover of the gospel classic ‘For Every Mountain.’

 

Each member of the choir recorded themselves singing at home, before individuals clips were mixed and edited together to form the powerful cover and montage music video.

 

“We are overjoyed to share this video with you today,” the choir said on social media.

 

“Still being able to make music together and share a message of thanks, unity and love brings us joy and we hope it makes you smile.”

This is the second virtual cover posted by the choir, who recently started rehearsing via online video conference service Zoom.

 

The first lockdown performance posted by the choir, released last month, was a cover of Ben E. King’s ‘Stand By Me'

 

Founded in 2017, Sønder is a collective of vocalists in Bristol, brought together by a passion for creating beautiful vocal harmonies.

 

Incorporating gospel, neo-soul and jazz, the collective have performed at festivals, and have collaborated with several recording artists.
