The Wild Beer Co to host beer tasting session via live stream

Local businesses are coming up with ingenious ways to keep busy amid the coronavirus crisis.

Whilst dozens of Bristol breweries and coffee shops are providing upped delivery service, Thekla has launched a weekly podcast.

Not only that, but many are taking advantage of live streaming, including Somerset brewery The Wild Beer Co.

Whilst their popular bar on Wapping Wharf is closed for the foreseeable future, The Wild Beer Co is hosting weekly, beer-related sessions via Facebook and Instagram.

The next session - a tasting one - is taking place tomorrow (Friday 3 April) at 20:30.

The Wild Beer Co Team

So, what can you expect?

At 20:30, Wild Beer co-founder Brett and barrel-wrangler Mr James B will be tasting two Wild Beer drinks, Kalamansification and Whitewood, via an Instagram live stream.

They’ll also be responding to questions on the live feed. Catch the stream via their official The Wild Beer Co Instagram account.

Not only that, but the live stream will also play host to a competition. The Wild Beer team want you to take the funniest screenshot of their tasting.

The best un-edited photo will win a £10 online shop voucher, and the best edited photo will win a £20 online shop voucher.

The winner will be announced on Saturday 4 April. Just post your entries into the Facebook event for a chance to win.

At 21:00, Brett and James will head over to their personal Instagram pages (@brettjellis, @fermentmorethings) for a few more drinks and to answer more questions.

Participants must be aged 18+ and live in the U.K.

And, at 20:30 on Friday 10 April, the team will be back with another session. They'll be hosting a live blending session via a Facebook live stream, once again via their official account.

Learn how to blend your own Zintuki - their unique blend of Somerset Wild and Ninkasi. To take part, why not grab a case featuring all three of the beers (plus a Wild Beer glass) and blend them live?

The Wild Beer Co is one of many local breweries offering a delivery service amid COVID-19. See a full list of breweries here.
