The delivery firm are fundraising to bring free meals to healthcare staff.

We're all struggling amidst the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, but NHS staff are bearing the brunt of the outbreak as they work under incredible strain to treat and care for people affected by the virus.

Stories coming from the NHS frontlines point to devoted but exhausted members of staff working under almost-impossibly difficult conditions, putting even more strain on an already-stretched service.

It's easy to forget as we remain under lockdown that thousands of people up and down the country are working day and night to help people with Coronavirus, often with little or no personal protection.

News broke yesterday that more than 750,000 people had signed up to volunteer for the NHS, but how else can you help?

Rather than donate a specific meal or get food sent to hospitals and doctors surgeries, Deliveroo users have the option to donate anything from £5 to £500, to put towards daily orders.

With restaurants, bars and fast food spots closed during the lockdown, ordering a takeaway is the only way to support many of your favourite businesses right now.

So, next time you order, be sure to show your support for NHS staff and make a donation.
