As the Spring begins, Bristol's event calendar is starting to heat up. This month, the city will welcome two music festivals and a literature festival.

Between Saturday 28 March and Sunday 29 March, Bristol Women’s Literature Festival will return to Watershed. 

 

A weekend of talks, panels and activities, the 2020 Bristol Women’s Literature Festival will feature author and comedian Viv Groskop, double Forward Prize winner Fiona Benson and The Good Immigrant author Coco Khan.

Head to Ritual Union Festival

 

As the Spring starts to creep in, March in Bristol will see the first wave of music festivals take place, including Ritual Union.

 

A first-time appearance in Bristol, Ritual Union is a multi-venue taking place on Saturday 28 March.

 

The festival will see names from the alternative scene take to the stages of SWX, The Lanes and Rough Trade Bristol.

 

The lineup boasts Marika Hackman, Dream Wife and Boy Azooga (plus loads more!). Nab a ticket here.

Head to Bristol Jazz & Blues Festival 

 

It’s back! The beloved Bristol Jazz & Blues Festival returns to venues across the city between Friday 26 March and Sunday 29 March. 

 

This year, the festival will host gigs at St George’s Bristol, Bristol Folk House, Colston Hall, Fiddlers, O2 Academy Bristol and Bambalan.

See a show at the Bristol Hippodrome 

 

This month, the Bristol Hippodrome will welcome the smash-hit musical The King and I. 

 

The production is set to enjoy an eleven-day run at the Bristol Hippodrome, between Tuesday 24 March and Saturday 4 April.

 

The production, which details the unconventional relationship that develops between the King of Siam and a British school teacher, has enjoyed sold-out runs on Broadway. Grab a ticket here.
