Irish outfit THUMPER to play The Crofters Rights in March

The raucous six-piece will be playing the Stokes Croft venue on Wednesday 4 March.

Having built a stellar reputation over the last 12 months with frenzied live shows and an uncompromising sound, rock-pop outfit THUMPER are embarking on an extensive UK headline tour in February and March 2020.

THUMPER 2020 UK tour dates.

The band have garnered rave reviews from across the music press in the last few months, championed by the likes of Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 6, Daniel P Carter on his Radio 1 Rock Show and an array of radio stations in their native Ireland.

More recently, THUMPER have been turning heads with their latest single, '(You're Bringing Me) Down', an infectious pop-grunge track that lead vocalist Oisin Leahy Furlong describes simply as a love song.

"Down takes place in the afterglow of an argument," he says. "The tension in the song mounts as the narrator struggles to remember which side of the argument he's on. As the guitars rise the words become more ambiguous to the point of incoherence."

THUMPER will be returning to Bristol for a second show in six months in March, after playing in front of a sell-out crowd as part of the Hy-Brasil Closing Party back in September.

Their 2020 tour, as well as bringing them to Bristol, will also see them perform in Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, Bournemouth, London and Guildford before closing at Brighton's Patterns on 7 March.

Tickets for THUMPER live at The Crofters Rights on Wednesday 4 March are on sale now and can be found here. For more information or to follow tour updates, check out the band's Facebook page.
