Stand-up veteran Janey Godley is coming to Bristol

Posted on: 23 Jan 2020

Following recent appearances on the BBC’s ‘Have I Got News for You’, Janey Godley is heading out on tour, and she’s coming to Bristol.

Set to perform at the Redgrave Theatre in Clifton on 23 February 2020, Janey Godley will be bringing her soup pot (yes, soup pot) to the South West for a night of outspoken stand-up and hilarious voice-overs.

A multi-talented performer, Janey is a comedian, weekly podcaster, best-selling author and former Scotsman newspaper columnist.

Janey is a top comic

Recognised as a huge name on the comedy scene for almost two decades, Janey has performed around the world but regularly returns to the Edinburgh Fringe, where she receives rave reviews.

More recently, the “Scottish Queen of Comedy” has also appeared on the BBC’s ‘Have I Got News for You’ and BBC Scotland’s ‘Breaking the News’.

But if there’s one thing Janey has become known for in recent times, it’s got to be her viral voice-overs.

Popular on Twitter, Janey’s voice-over videos see the comic take swipes at current affairs and politics, with hilarious and often improvised commentaries played over real-life events.

Want to see Janey perform some improvised voice-overs in the flesh? Now you can, with her brand-new Soup Pot tour, which is stopping off in Bristol next month.
