The Fleece is looking for unsigned musicians to take part in Scouting Sessions

Posted on: 11 Nov 2019

Calling all unsigned bands and artists: do you want to play at one of Bristol’s leading live music venues? Now’s your chance.

You know the deal: before (most) bands and artists become headline acts, they gig around as the support act. A crucial part of any show, the support act warms up the crowd, giving fans a sneak peek of what’s to come.

With this in mind, The Fleece is on the lookout for new acts to join their list of support bands, who will warm up crowds for the venue’s headline acts.

Warm up for headline acts at The Fleece

A legendary Bristol music venue, The Fleece is a purveyor of live sound, attracting some of the world’s biggest touring bands and artists weekly.

It’s been around since the 80s, and in that time, has seen acts like Amy Winehouse, Oasis and Jeff Buckley perform on its stage.

So, what are you waiting for? Whether you are part of a heavy metal band, a synth-pop outfit or you’re a solo singer-songwriter, The Fleece wants to hear from you.

So, how does the selection process work? First off, artists will be asked to perform at one of the venue's Scouting Sessions. The next series of Scouting Sessions will take place during January 2020.

If The Fleece like what they hear at a Scouting Session, you will be considered for the venue's support act roster.

If you're up for the challenge, drop The Fleece an email at gig@thefleece.co.uk with some information about you and your act.
