The smell of the bonfire, the crackle of a firework, the taste of a toffee apple - we can’t wait for Bonfire Night 2019. 

 

Lucky for us Bristol lot, there’s a variety of firework displays and bonfires taking place across the city.

 

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your winter mittens, some sparklers (if they’re allowed at your chosen Bonfire Night event, of course) and wrap up warm. Select a Bonfire Night celebration from this list, and away you go!

Friday 1 November 
 

Downend Roundtable Fireworks @ King George V Playing Fields, Westerleigh Road, BS16 6AH

 

Round Table Fireworks is one of Bristol's biggest fireworks display and this year; the team have elected local mental health charity Network Counselling and Training as their main beneficiary. 

 

As always, the event will provide a family-friendly show filled with fireworks, entertainment, and live music. It’s one of Bristol’s biggest bonfire night parties, so be sure to check out travel information ahead of your visit. For more information and tickets, visit the website.

Firework Display @ Yate Outdoor Sports Complex

 

Get tickets for Yate Outdoor Sports Complex’s Friday night fireworks display from their Clubhouse located onsite, or grab one on the gate.

Saturday 2 November 

 

Fireworks Fiesta @ Canford Park 


Organised by Bristol Round Table and The Rotary Club of Clifton, this fireworks display supports local schools, St Peter’s Hospice and The Lord Mayor’s Children’s Appeal, as well as both Bristol Round Table’s and The Rotary Club of Clifton’s charities.

 

It’ll have a number of official food and drinks vendors, and there’s no on-site parking. For more information and tickets, head to the website.

Bonfire Night Fireworks @ Puxton Park
 

After a spectacular performance in 2018, the award-winning performers Fire Magic will return to wow Bristol crowds. Expect a hog roast, BBQ and stalls.

 

To keep the kids entertained, Puxton Park comes armed with a colossal soft-play barn, high ropes and rides. For more information and tickets, visit the website.

Low Noise Fireworks @ Old Down Country Park (3 November to 5 November) 

 

Enjoy a Quiet Fireworks Night over the weekend at historic Old Down Manor Estate. Expect an atmospheric evening in the estate’s walled gardens with toasted marshmallows, food and hot drinks. For more information and tickets, visit the website.

Tuesday 5 November 


Bonfire Night @ Victoria Park

 

The annual Victoria Park bonfire returns to BS3. Bring along some firewood from 15:00, then get ready for the Guy Fawkes competition from 18:00. They’ll be food and drink on offer, and sparklers are welcome. It’s free! 


Fireworks @ Chantry Community Centre

 

Catch a fireworks display in the walled garden of the historic Chantry. A limited licensed bar will be also open in the newly renovated Slymbridge Room. Nibbles, mulled wine, hot and soft drinks will be on offer, too. Visit the website for more information and to buy tickets.

Bang-free Bonfire Night celebrations @ St Werburghs City Farm 

 

Perfect for the kids, St Werburghs is holding their annual bang-free Bonfire Night party on 9 November. Swapping out the fireworks, the City farm will instead celebrate with music, fire eating and juggling, UV-face paint and a silent disco.

Weston Hospicecare’s Fireworks at Sea @ The Grand Pier 

 

Something a little bit different: celebrate Bonfire Night at the seaside at this charity event. Enjoy The Grand Pier’s funfair and grab some fish and chips from the Boardwalk Café. For more information and ticket packages, head to the website.
