Posted on: 15 Oct 2019

Want to see fantastic local artwork for free? You’re in luck: the West Bristol Arts Trail returns this weekend.

On Saturday 19 October and Sunday 20 October, approximately 100 local artists will open their homes and studios to the public, as part of the annual trail.

Photographers, ceramicists, painters and more are set to take part in this year’s event, with exhibitors situated across Clifton, Clifton Wood, Redland and Hotwells.

Planning on popping up to Clifton village for a Saturday brunch or a Sunday lunch? Why not add in a bit of artwork, too?

From screen prints influenced by Japanese woodblocks on Beaconsfield Road to pottery and window art inside Alma Church Hall, the trail is a great opportunity to meet local artists and learn about their work - for free!

Artists involved in this year's trail include Kop & Hibbert, the team behind infamous 'The Kiss of Death' print, which sees Donal Trump and Boris Johnson kissing. To see a full list of artists, click here.

On Saturday and Sunday, venues will be open 11:00 to 17:00. There will also be a public preview at Engineers’ House in Clifton on Friday 18 October, from 18:30 onwards.

Founded 11 years ago, the West Bristol Arts Trail has become a highly-anticipated event for the area.  This year, it’ll see artwork exhibited in 50 venues. To see a list of venues, click here.

Those taking part on the trail are advised to use public transport, bicycle or foot to get around, given car parking can be tight.
