Want to be on the radio? Head to BBC Radio Bristol’s open auditions

The BBC is on the hunt for new voices. Could you be one of them?

On Saturday 28 September, BBC Radio Bristol will be holding open auditions at the M Shed. The reason? To find new voices for the local radio airwaves.

Between 10:00 and 16:00, a panel of three judges will be at the harbourside museum to hold 60-second auditions.

If you’ve ever wanted to be on the radio and you can tell a good story, then that’s all you need to take part. There’s no need to book, either!

So, how does it work?

Use your 60 seconds to tell the judges a story - it can be about anything. Funny or serious, it just needs to be engaging.

Anyone over the age of 18 can take part and no previous experience is required. So, what have you got to lose? As BBC Upload’s Adam Crowther said: “There’s no 'right' way to becoming a radio presenter.”
